^{书 17:1} 玛拿西是约瑟的长子，他的支派拈阄所得之地，记在下面：至于玛拿西的长子基列之父(“父”或作“主”)玛吉，因为是勇士，就得了基列和巴珊。 ^{书 17:2} 玛拿西其余的子孙，按着宗族拈阄分地，就是亚比以谢子孙，希勒子孙，亚斯列子孙，示剑子孙，希弗子孙，示米大子孙，这些按着宗族，都是约瑟儿子玛拿西子孙的男丁。 ^{书 17:3} 玛拿西的元孙，玛吉的曾孙，基列的孙子，希弗的儿子西罗非哈没有儿子，只有女儿。他的女儿名叫玛拉、挪阿、曷拉、密迦、得撒， ^{书 17:4} 她们来到祭司以利亚撒和嫩的儿子约书亚并众首领面前，说：“耶和华曾吩咐摩西，在我们弟兄中分给我们产业。”于是约书亚照耶和华所吩咐的，在她们伯叔中，把产业分给她们。 ^{书 17:5} 除了约但河东的基列和巴珊地之外，还有十分地归玛拿西， ^{书 17:6} 因为玛拿西的孙女们，在玛拿西的孙子中得了产业。基列地是属玛拿西其余的子孙。 ^{书 17:7} 玛拿西的境界：从亚设起，到示剑前的密米他，往北到隐他普亚居民之地。 ^{书 17:8} 他普亚地归玛拿西，只是玛拿西境界上的他普亚城，归以法莲子孙。 ^{书 17:9} 其界下到加拿河的南边，在玛拿西城邑中的这些城邑，都归以法莲。玛拿西的地界，是在河北直通到海为止。 ^{书 17:10} 南归以法莲，北归玛拿西，以海为界。北边到亚设，东边到以萨迦。 ^{书 17:11} 玛拿西在以萨迦和亚设境内，有伯善和属伯善的镇市，以伯莲和属以伯莲的镇市，多珥的居民和属多珥的镇市。又有三处山冈，就是隐多珥和属隐多珥的镇市，他纳的居民和属他纳的镇市，米吉多的居民和属米吉多的镇市。 ^{书 17:12} 只是玛拿西子孙，不能赶出这些城的居民，迦南人偏要住在那地。 ^{书 17:13} 及至以色列人强盛了，就使迦南人作苦工，没有把他们全然赶出。 ^{书 17:14} 约瑟的子孙对约书亚说：“耶和华到如今既然赐福与我们，我们也族大人多，你为什么但将一阄一段之地，分给我们为业呢？” ^{书 17:15} 约书亚说：“你们如果族大人多，嫌以法莲山地窄小，就可以上比利洗人、利乏音人之地，在树林中砍伐树木。” ^{书 17:16} 约瑟的子孙说：“那山地容不下我们，并且住平原的迦南人，就是住伯善和属伯善的镇市，并住耶斯列平原的人，都有铁车。” ^{书 17:17} 约书亚对约瑟家，就是以法莲和玛拿西人，说：“你是族大人多，并且强盛，不可仅有一阄之地。 ^{书 17:18} 山地也要归你，虽是树林你也可以砍伐；靠近之地，必归你。迦南人虽有铁车，虽是强盛，你也能把他们赶出去。” (和合本 CUV)

^{Josh 17:1} There was also a lot for the tribe of Manasseh; for he was the firstborn of Joseph; to wit, for Machir the firstborn of Manasseh, the father of Gilead, because he was a man of war, therefore he had Gilead and Bashan. ^{Josh 17:2} There was also a lot for the rest of the children of Manasseh by their families; for the children of Abiezer, and for the children of Helek, and for the children of Asriel, and for the children of Shechem, and for the children of Hepher, and for the children of Shemida, these were the male children of Manasseh the son of Joseph by their families. ^{Josh 17:3} But Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, had no sons, but daughters, and these are the names of his daughters, Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. ^{Josh 17:4} And they came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes, saying, The LORD commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brethren. Therefore according to the commandment of the LORD he gave them an inheritance among the brethren of their father. ^{Josh 17:5} And there fell ten portions to Manasseh, beside the land of Gilead and Bashan, which were on the other side Jordan; ^{Josh 17:6} Because the daughters of Manasseh had an inheritance among his sons, and the rest of Manasseh's sons had the land of Gilead. ^{Josh 17:7} And the coast of Manasseh was from Asher to Michmethah, that lieth before Shechem; and the border went along on the right hand unto the inhabitants of Entappuah. ^{Josh 17:8} Now Manasseh had the land of Tappuah, but Tappuah on the border of Manasseh belonged to the children of Ephraim; ^{Josh 17:9} And the coast descended unto the river Kanah, southward of the river, these cities of Ephraim are among the cities of Manasseh, the coast of Manasseh also was on the north side of the river, and the outgoings of it were at the sea, ^{Josh 17:10} Southward it was Ephraim's, and northward it was Manasseh's, and the sea is his border; and they met together in Asher on the north, and in Issachar on the east. ^{Josh 17:11} And Manasseh had in Issachar and in Asher Bethshean and her towns, and Ibleam and her towns, and the inhabitants of Dor and her towns, and the inhabitants of Endor and her towns, and the inhabitants of Taanach and her towns, and the inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns, even three countries. ^{Josh 17:12} Yet the children of Manasseh could not drive out the inhabitants of those cities; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land. ^{Josh 17:13} Yet it came to pass, when the children of Israel were waxen strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute, but did not utterly drive them out. ^{Josh 17:14} And the children of Joseph spake unto Joshua, saying, Why hast thou given me but one lot and one portion to inherit, seeing I am a great people, forasmuch as the LORD hath blessed me hitherto? ^{Josh 17:15} And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee. ^{Josh 17:16} And the children of Joseph said, The hill is not enough for us, and all the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both they who are of Bethshean and her towns, and they who are of the valley of Jezreel. ^{Josh 17:17} And Joshua spake unto the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying, Thou art a great people, and hast great power, thou shalt not have one lot only, ^{Josh 17:18} But the mountain shall be thine; for it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it down, and the outgoings of it shall be thine, for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong.
