^{耶 5:19} 百姓若说：‘耶和华我们的　神，为什么向我们行这一切事呢？’你就对他们说：‘你们怎样离弃耶和华(原文作“我”)，在你们的地上事奉外邦神，也必照样在不属你们的地上事奉外邦人。’” (CUVS)

^{Jer 5:19} And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the LORD our God all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not yours. (KJV)

`It shall come about when they say, 'Why^, has the LORD our God done all these things to us?' then you shall say to them, 'As you have forsaken Me and served foreign gods in your land, so you will serve strangers in a land that is not yours.' (NASB)
