^{申 7:1} “耶和华你　神领你进入要得为业之地，从你面前赶出许多国民，就是赫人、革迦撒人、亚摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人，共七国的民，都比你强大。 ^{申 7:2} 耶和华你　神将他们交给你击杀，那时你要把他们灭绝净尽，不可与他们立约，也不可怜恤他们。 ^{申 7:3} 不可与他们结亲，不可将你的女儿嫁他们的儿子，也不可叫你的儿子娶他们的女儿； ^{申 7:4} 因为他必使你儿子转离不跟从主，去事奉别神，以致耶和华的怒气向你们发作，就速速地将你们灭绝。 ^{申 7:5} 你们却要这样待他们：拆毁他们的祭坛；打碎他们的柱像；砍下他们的木偶；用火焚烧他们雕刻的偶像。 ^{申 7:6} 因为你归耶和华你　神为圣洁的民。耶和华你　神从地上的万民中拣选你，特作自己的子民。 ^{申 7:7} “耶和华专爱你们，拣选你们，并非因你们的人数多于别民，原来你们的人数在万民中是最少的。 ^{申 7:8} 只因耶和华爱你们，又因要守他向你们列祖所起的誓，就用大能的手领你们出来，从为奴之家救赎你们，脱离埃及王法老的手。 ^{申 7:9} 所以你要知道耶和华你的　神，他是　神，是信实的　神；向爱他、守他诫命的人，守约施慈爱，直到千代； ^{申 7:10} 向恨他的人，当面报应他们，将他们灭绝。凡恨他的人，必报应他们，决不迟延。 ^{申 7:11} 所以你要谨守遵行我今日所吩咐你的诫命、律例、典章。” ^{申 7:12} “你们果然听从这些典章，谨守遵行，耶和华你　神就必照他向你列祖所起的誓，守约施慈爱。 ^{申 7:13} 他必爱你，赐福与你，使你人数增多，也必在他向你列祖起誓应许给你的地上，赐福与你身所生的，地所产的，并你的五谷、新酒和油，以及牛犊、羊羔。 ^{申 7:14} 你必蒙福胜过万民，你们的男女没有不能生养的，牲畜也没有不能生育的。 ^{申 7:15} 耶和华必使一切的病症离开你，你所知道埃及各样的恶疾，他不加在你身上，只加在一切恨你的人身上。 ^{申 7:16} 耶和华你　神所要交给你的一切人民，你要将他们除灭，你眼不可顾惜他们。你也不可事奉他们的神，因这必成为你的网罗。 ^{申 7:17} “你若心里说，这些国的民比我更多，我怎能赶出他们呢？ ^{申 7:18} 你不要惧怕他们，要牢牢记念耶和华你　神向法老和埃及全地所行的事， ^{申 7:19} 就是你亲眼所看见的大试验、神迹、奇事，和大能的手，并伸出来的膀臂，都是耶和华你　神领你出来所用的。耶和华你　神必照样待你所惧怕的一切人民。 ^{申 7:20} 并且耶和华你　神必打发黄蜂，飞到他们中间，直到那剩下而藏躲的人，从你面前灭亡。 ^{申 7:21} 你不要因他们惊恐，因为耶和华你　神在你们中间是大而可畏的　神。 ^{申 7:22} 耶和华你　神必将这些国的民，从你面前渐渐赶出，你不可把他们速速灭尽，恐怕野地的兽多起来害你。 ^{申 7:23} 耶和华你　神必将他们交给你，大大地扰乱他们，直到他们灭绝了。 ^{申 7:24} 又要将他们的君王交在你手中，你就使他们的名从天下消灭。必无一人能在你面前站立得住，直到你将他们灭绝了。 ^{申 7:25} 他们雕刻的神像，你们要用火焚烧；其上的金银你不可贪图，也不可收取，免得你因此陷入网罗；这原是耶和华你　神所憎恶的。 ^{申 7:26} 可憎的物，你不可带进家去；不然，你就成了当毁灭的，与那物一样。你要十分厌恶，十分憎嫌，因为这是当毁灭的物。” ^{申 8:1} “我今日所吩咐的一切诫命，你们要谨守遵行，好叫你们存活，人数增多，且进去得耶和华向你们列祖起誓应许的那地。 ^{申 8:2} 你也要记念耶和华你的　神在旷野引导你，这四十年，是要苦炼你，试验你，要知道你心内如何，肯守他的诫命不肯。 ^{申 8:3} 他苦炼你，任你饥饿，将你和你列祖所不认识的吗哪赐给你吃，使你知道人活着不是单靠食物，乃是靠耶和华口里所出的一切话。 ^{申 8:4} 这四十年，你的衣服没有穿破，你的脚也没有肿。 ^{申 8:5} 你当心里思想，耶和华你　神管教你，好象人管教儿子一样。 ^{申 8:6} 你要谨守耶和华你　神的诫命，遵行他的道，敬畏他。 ^{申 8:7} 因为耶和华你　神领你进入美地，那地有河、有泉、有源，从山谷中流出水来。 ^{申 8:8} 那地有小麦、大麦、葡萄树、无花果树、石榴树、橄榄树和蜜。 ^{申 8:9} 你在那地不缺食物，一无所缺。那地的石头是铁，山内可以挖铜。 ^{申 8:10} 你吃得饱足，就要称颂耶和华你的　神，因他将那美地赐给你了。” ^{申 8:11} “你要谨慎，免得忘记耶和华你的　神，不守他的诫命、典章、律例，就是我今日所吩咐你的。 ^{申 8:12} 恐怕你吃得饱足，建造美好的房屋居住； ^{申 8:13} 你的牛羊加多，你的金银增添，并你所有的全都加增， ^{申 8:14} 你就心高气傲，忘记耶和华你的　神，就是将你从埃及地为奴之家领出来的。 ^{申 8:15} 引你经过那大而可怕的旷野，那里有火蛇、蝎子、干旱无水之地。他曾为你使水从坚硬的磐石中流出来。 ^{申 8:16} 又在旷野，将你列祖所不认识的吗哪赐给你吃，是要苦炼你，试验你，叫你终久享福。 ^{申 8:17} 恐怕你心里说：这货财是我力量、我能力得来的。 ^{申 8:18} 你要记念耶和华你的　神，因为得货财的力量是他给你的，为要坚定他向你列祖起誓所立的约，象今日一样。 ^{申 8:19} 你若忘记耶和华你的　神，随从别神，事奉敬拜，你们必定灭亡，这是我今日警戒你们的。 ^{申 8:20} 耶和华在你们面前怎样使列国的民灭亡，你们也必照样灭亡，因为你们不听从耶和华你们　神的话。” (和合本 CUV)

^{Deut 7:1} When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou; ^{Deut 7:2} And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them, ^{Deut 7:3} Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son. ^{Deut 7:4} For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods, so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly. ^{Deut 7:5} But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire. ^{Deut 7:6} For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. ^{Deut 7:7} The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people, ^{Deut 7:8} But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. ^{Deut 7:9} Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; ^{Deut 7:10} And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them, he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face. ^{Deut 7:11} Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them. ^{Deut 7:12} Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers, ^{Deut 7:13} And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee, he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee. ^{Deut 7:14} Thou shalt be blessed above all people, there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle. ^{Deut 7:15} And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee. ^{Deut 7:16} And thou shalt consume all the people which the LORD thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them, neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee. ^{Deut 7:17} If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them? ^{Deut 7:18} Thou shalt not be afraid of them, but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt; ^{Deut 7:19} The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee out, so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid. ^{Deut 7:20} Moreover the LORD thy God will send the hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed. ^{Deut 7:21} Thou shalt not be affrighted at them, for the LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible. ^{Deut 7:22} And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little, thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee. ^{Deut 7:23} But the LORD thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed. ^{Deut 7:24} And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven, there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them. ^{Deut 7:25} The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire, thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein, for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God. ^{Deut 7:26} Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it, but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing. ^{Deut 8:1} All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers. ^{Deut 8:2} And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. ^{Deut 8:3} And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. ^{Deut 8:4} Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years. ^{Deut 8:5} Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee. ^{Deut 8:6} Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him. ^{Deut 8:7} For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills; ^{Deut 8:8} A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey; ^{Deut 8:9} A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass. ^{Deut 8:10} When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath given thee. ^{Deut 8:11} Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day, ^{Deut 8:12} Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein; ^{Deut 8:13} And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied; ^{Deut 8:14} Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage; ^{Deut 8:15} Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint; ^{Deut 8:16} Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end; ^{Deut 8:17} And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. ^{Deut 8:18} But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God, for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. ^{Deut 8:19} And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish. ^{Deut 8:20} As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God.
